Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Venture Capital Analyst to join our investment team. The successful candidate will play a key role in evaluating and executing investment opportunities in early-stage companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the startup ecosystem, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate potential investment opportunities through research, networking and outreach
- Conduct due diligence on potential investments, including market analysis and competitive research
- Analyze industry trends, profile founders/management teams and market data to inform investment decisions
- Prepare investment memoranda, presentations, and other materials to support investment decisions
- Work closely with the team to execute deals, including assisting in negotiating terms and closing transactions
- Monitor and report on portfolio company performance, including financials, milestones, and industry trends
- Develop and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, investors, and other industry stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market developments, and emerging technologies
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or a related field
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong analytical and profiling skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong network in the startup ecosystem
- Some experience with deal execution, due diligence, and portfolio management
Nice to Have:
- Experience with early-stage companies and venture capital investing
- Strong understanding of technology trends and emerging industries
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools
- Experience with financial modeling
