Job Overview
Reporting to the Snr Executive – Business Support, the Accounting Intern is to provide support in all aspects of the accounting function of the company. Core responsibilities:
- Support in year-end and monthly closing, reconciliation, preparation of financial statements, GST reporting, cash flow and year-end audit.
- Help to handle data entry of accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Prepare schedules for external auditors during year-end audit, support Supervisor in suppliers and customers on billing and payment matters.
- Assist in data entry for indirect procurement and preparing purchase orders.
- Assist in observing and verifying inventory count and reconciliation.
- Support and make active contributions to productivity and efficiency improvement initiatives across all departments (as and when required).
- Any other duties as and when assigned by Supervisor and Finance Manager.
Job specifications:
- Currently pursuing Degree or Diploma in Accounting and/or Finance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer skills.
- Meticulous in handling sensitive information, highly organized and efficient.
- Proactive, strong sense of accountability.
- Motivated to take on new challenges with strong desire to learn more about accounting and finance in an operational environment.
