Job Description:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for managing the financial actions of the company. Their duties include tracking cash flow and financial planning as well as analyzing the company's financial strengths and weaknesses and proposing corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning and Management
- Develop financial and tax strategies.
- Oversee long-term budgetary planning and cost management.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and members of the executive management team.
2. Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports.
- Ensure the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the preparation and approval of all financial reporting materials and metrics.
3. Operational Management
- Manage the accounting, investor relations, legal, tax, and treasury departments.
- Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry.
- Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions.
4. Risk Management
- Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile.
- Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry.
- Construct and monitor reliable control systems.
5. Team Leadership and Development
- Manage, lead, and mentor the finance team.
- Ensure that the finance staff maintains financial record systems in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Develop and implement training programs to improve individual and departmental performance.
6. Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage with the Board of Directors on financial planning and analysis.
- Represent the company to financial partners, including financial institutions, investors, foundation executives, auditors, and officials.
Qualifications
· Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation preferred.
· Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible financial leadership roles.
- Proven experience as CFO, finance officer, or relevant role in a similar industry.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.
· Skills and Abilities:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
