Job Description of: Safety Coordinator
(a) Ensure timely reporting of monthly safety performance as prescribed by the Project Managers;
(b) Function as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer/Coordinator as required under the Workplace Safety and Health Act;
(c) Inspect site to ensure compliance with government legislations and clients’ regulations;
(d) Investigate incidents, analysis of root causes and recommend corrective measures;
(e) Carry out additional safety roles when necessary i.e. Confined space safety assessor;
(f) Sign off on PTWs;
(g) Be responsible for any other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time as your superior / management deem fit.
Requirements:
- Shipyard Safety Supervisor Certificate desired
- Advanced certificate in Workplace Safety & Health mandatory
- Certificate in Pavement Construction and Maintenance highly desired
- Refresher course for WSHC
- Managing Work at Height
Prefer if have own transport. Transport allowance will be provided for travel between sites.
