Our client is a specialty restaurant renowned for its authentic Southern Italian cuisine. Led by an experienced Italian Chef, the restaurant offers a unique dining experience that celebrates the rich flavors and culinary traditions of Southern Italy. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily preparation and production of dishes, ensuring they adhere to the restaurant standard and portion sizes.
- Maintain a high standard of food hygiene and safety in the kitchen.
- Ensure consistent food quality by conducting food taste tests.
- Ensure consistent plate presentations.
- Assist in managing the kitchen's inventory, ensuring that all necessary ingredients are available for daily production.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to develop new menu items and specials.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a high-quality restaurant.
- Applicants experience as Demi Chef, looking for career progression are welcome to apply too.
- Knowledge in Southern Italian cuisine will be a plus.
- Relevant culinary school qualification preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
