Reporting to the SE Asia Operations Director, the SE Assia Testing & Commissioning Regional Director will lead and manage the testing and commissioning activities across multiple data centre projects within a designated region. This senior-level role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in data centre operations, project management, and team leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage a team of testing and commissioning engineers and technicians.
- Develop and implement testing and commissioning strategies for the region.
- Oversee the testing and commissioning process for all data centre projects in the region.
- Coordinate with project managers, construction teams, and clients to ensure timelines and budgets are met.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and quality.
- Develop and enforce rigorous testing and commissioning protocols.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
- Review and approve test plans, reports, and commissioning documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the testing and commissioning team.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Resolve complex technical issues that arise during the testing and commissioning process.
- Serve as clients' primary point of contact during the testing and commissioning phase.
- Present test results and commissioning reports to clients and stakeholders.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in data centre testing, commissioning, and operations.
- Proven track record in a leadership role, managing large teams and complex projects.
- Strong knowledge of data centre infrastructure, including HVAC, power systems, and network operations.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in testing and commissioning processes.
- Willingness to travel within the region as required.
Desired Attributes:
- Relevant certifications in procurement, supply chain management, or contract management (e.g., CPM, CSCP, or similar).
- Familiarity with the business environment and regulatory landscape in Southeast Asia.
