Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead a significant transformation of the derivatives back office platform. This role will oversee the end-to-end process of modernizing and optimizing current back office systems, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives and industry best practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project, from initial planning through to implementation and post-launch support.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Strategy:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and requirements.
- Establish and manage project budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
Platform Transformation
- Lead the assessment, selection, and implementation of new back office systems and technologies.
- Oversee the integration of new solutions with existing infrastructure and processes. Ensure the new platform meets regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Implement and integrate new systems to accurately capture, process, and book derivatives (options, swaps, forwards) and futures trades, supporting real-time and high-frequency transactions.
- Ensure the platform handles margin requirements, collateral management, and optimization effectively.
- Ensure seamless integration with trading platforms, risk management systems, and other key operations for comprehensive end-to-end processing.
Change Management
- Develop and implement a change management strategy to facilitate smooth transition to the new platform.
- Support and guide teams through the change process to ensure successful adoption.
Stakeholder Management:
- Engage with senior management, business units, and technology teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and changes to stakeholders effectively and regularly.
Risk and Issue Management
- Identify potential risks and issues related to the project and develop mitigation strategies.
- Address and resolve any challenges or obstacles that may impact project timelines or outcomes.
- Implement and monitor project controls to ensure adherence to budget and schedule.
