You will be part of the accounts payable team for our cineplexes. You will also assist to oversee the below function.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Main Function
• Responsible for timely and accurate submission of P&L and Balance Sheet schedules
• Assist Finance Manager in preparation of statutory requirements such as Annual Financial Statements, Quarterly GST submission, ACAP status Renewal.
• Perform reconciliation of payables & bank balances and ensure monthly closing by stipulated deadline
• Perform monthly accruals of expenses with relevant assumptions and estimates.
• Ensure that all invoices are accurately booked into the accounting system, and are supported by the required documents. This includes reviewing invoice postings to ensure accurate coding of accounts, invoice description and tax details, in accordance with tax, accounting and management reporting requirements as well as accounting policies
• Track and monitor project and capex expenditure to ensure spending is within budget, proper approval and documentation is submitted and provide guidance on accounting treatment of certain expenditures and purchases and ensure treatment is in compliance with Finance’s policy and procedures
• Review and ensure prompt payments make to supplier, landlord for rental payment, withholding tax payment etc
• Work closely with other departments to proactively manage and resolve business and operational issues effectively and efficiently.
• Communicate with External parties such as external auditors, IRAS agent, tax agent, Corporate Secretary etc, to resolve issues and assist to complete the required reporting
2. Others
• Participate in projects implementation and enhancements, streamlining and documents work procedures and processes
• Discharge such other duties and responsibilities that may be directed
ESSENTIAL QUALITIES
1. Diploma in Accounting (Fresh graduate are welcome)
2. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
3. Able to work independently and be a team player
4. Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills
5. High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
6. To establish good working relationships with colleagues
7. Motivational with a positive attitude at all times
8. Good organisational skills
9. Attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
