The firm is seeking a bright, highly motivated, and driven paralegal with previous experience in local or foreign law firms or internal legal departments in the fund management or real estate sector, finance or banking, an individual who has long term commitment, willing to learn, improve themselves to succeed.

The company is a well-established real estate private equity platform based in Singapore which has real estate products and funds on both ends of the risk-return spectrum. Its investment mandate is Pan Asian, agnostic across asset classes, and has been operating in the region for more than 14 years. What will you do?
This is an all-encompassing role whereby you will be assisting our Legal and Compliance team as below:
- drafting, reviewing, and/or negotiating various legal documents such as a licence contract, consultancy contract, lease agreement, legal letter, employment & offer contract, engagement letters with consultants and/or other third parties, confidentiality agreement, property management agreement, administration agreement, service contract, terms of use, etc.
- assisting our General Counsels with fund documents such as Private Placement Memorandum, Limited Partnership Agreement, Side Letter, Subscription Line Facility Agreement, and other ancillary documents.
- assisting our Regulatory and Compliance Officer with regulatory filings, amending internal policies, perform individual and/or organization KYC screening using reputable databases, and review the findings to resolve any sanctions or adverse information hits.
- drafting and reviewing Directors’ resolutions-in-writing, board meeting agenda, notice, and minutes.
- providing general assistance to our Australian investment manager with ancillary property management matters such as major approvals, information for tax filings & insurance, etc.
- collaborating with other departments to respond to investor queries relating to our funds.
- participating in investment committee, annual general and advisory board meetings activities including sending calendar invites and minute-taking, etc.
- interacting regularly with external legal counsels, banks, and insurance brokers on various matters.
- providing administrative support to the General Counsel as needed.
What do you need to succeed?
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience with a minimum of 4 years in any single job
- A passion for law and demonstrated desire to build a career in the industry
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn, initiative and being a self-starter are highly valued
- A curious and analytical mind, detailed oriented but also with the big picture in mind
- The ability to work autonomously on self-motivated projects, but at the same time work in tandem with and add value to a closely-knit team
- Keen interest in performing routine legal and regulatory tasks and working with others to resolve related legal and regulatory issues as they occur
- Fluency in English language in both written and oral
- Based in Singapore
