Maritime Sales Manager (New Build and Retrofit) - Singapore based

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to join the Shipping and Maritime team in Singapore. This is for selling large engines to new builds and retrofits in the shipping industry.

The ideal candidate will have 8 to 10 years of experience in a commercial role within the Shipping sector, with a proven track record of growing key accounts and overachieving sales targets

The role offers the opportunity to lead strategic initiatives, cultivate client relationships, and contribute to the expansion of their market presence across the Asia-Pacific region.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share within the APAC region.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, understanding their needs and provide tailored solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Identify new business opportunities and market trends, conduct market research for strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including operations, marketing, and finance to ensure alignment and support for sales objectives.
  • Lead negotiations and contract discussions with clients, ensuring terms are favorable and in line with company objectives.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market dynamics, providing insights to inform pricing strategies and product development.
  • Take in interest in technology and how the products and offerings to clients can be improved.

Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of proven experience in commercial roles within the Shipping or Maritime industry.
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining key account relationships.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and trends in the Shipping industry.
  • Analytical and interested in technology and how we can improve the service and product offerings to clients.
  • Ability to travel within the APAC region as required (may be upto 75 - 80 days / year)
