Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Development Lead with significant banking experience to drive team success through smart analysis, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of data warehousing concepts.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Teradata, Oracle, Unix Shell Scripting, Hadoop technologies, and a variety of ETL and reporting tools, coupled with a solid background in the banking sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with users and Business Analysts (BAs) to gather and understand requirements.
- Assign JIRA tickets to developers, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Develop and deliver quality reports using Oracle SQL, maintaining high standards of data integrity and accuracy.
- Provide technical support throughout the development lifecycle, addressing any issues promptly.
- Generate and deliver comprehensive quality reports to users, ensuring their needs are met.
Technical Skills:
- Data Warehousing Concepts: Core knowledge with hands-on experience in Teradata, Teradata FSLDM, Oracle, and Unix Shell Scripting.
- Big Data & Hadoop: Proficient in HDFS, Hive, and Sqoop.
- RDBMS: Experience with Teradata and Oracle 23Teradata Model (FSLDM).
- Programming: Skilled in Unix Shell Scripting, SQL, and PL/SQL.
- ETL Tools: Expertise in Informatica Power Center (versions 9.1/8.1/7.1).
- Reporting Tools: Experience with Cognos 8.1 and Business Objects.
- Scheduling Tools: Knowledge of Tivoli 9.1.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Work closely with users to document requirements and user stories effectively.
- Organize and oversee the development and testing processes, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Lead team members in data verification tasks, working closely with users to validate data accuracy.
- Coordinate with the ETL and ECP teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth operation.
- Manage the release process, ensuring successful deployment and integration of new features and fixes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a senior development role with a strong focus on data warehousing and big data technologies.
- Significant experience working within the banking sector, with a deep understanding of banking processes and requirements is a must have at least 8 + years
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of successfully leading and mentoring development teams.
- Exceptional communication skills to liaise with users, stakeholders, and team members effectively.
