The Position:
- Work closely with business users and other analysts to gather detailed, unambiguous business requirements and translate these into requirement specifications for the development teams, coordinate related projects, with a hands-on (technically minded); getting-things-done approach
- Lead project engagements with the major key stakeholders within specific workstreams to define business requirements and drive the design of quality technical solutions
- Assist in optimizing business performance by continually looking to improve alignment between business processes and systems in build phase
- Participate in ongoing engagement with the automated testing team to provide requirements for automation of regression testing
The Candidate must have:
- Strong analytical skills; be able to thoroughly understand + interpret customer business needs, translate them into application and operational requirements
- Prior experience with marine operations and applications, specifically IMOS by Veson; can take on a superuser role
- Possess good hands-on experience as a Business Analyst or an industry practitioner across Mining & Metals, Energy or Oil & Gas industry
- Excellent interpersonal skills and able to interact with users at all levels
