Newly set-up Technology and Telco Service Provider seek dynamic and driven individual to join the team as Regional Legal Manager!
Job Description
- Manage legal and compliance services to meet commercial demands from management.
- Address commercial issues in all cross-functional areas, including employment law, contract law, dispute resolution, and business licensing.
- Provide strategic advice to the company's management and business leaders on a broad variety of legal matters to ensure compliance with laws and regulations from a global legal perspective;
- Draft, negotiate, review, and interpret a broad range of agreements and provide risk assessments including but not limited to the formation of new companies, mergers and acquisitions, and other business transactions;
- Draft organizational documents such as articles of incorporation, bylaws, and partnership agreements;
- Assist in the development of strategies to manage risk exposure and prevent legal problems from occurring;
- Consult with external panel firms on contractual, commercial, and litigation matters.
- Undertakes any other tasks and assignments assigned by management at their discretion.
Requirements
- Candidate must have (Bachelor’s/Master’s degree) from an accredited law school.
- At least 5+ years’ post qualified experience in top-tier Singapore or international law firm, or solid experience in-house at a technology company with proven ability to represent multi-national companies across multiple markets;
- Good knowledge and understanding of commercial, Telecommunication, Media & Technology-related matters.
- Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating technology and commercial transactions, including for IT outsourcing, cloud services, and procurement.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural and collegiate law-firm environment, and to work both autonomously and as part of a team as and when required.
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with strong analytical and strategic thinking;
- Excellent technical skills with a practical approach to problem-solving.
- Able to travel extensively.
