Job Summary:
We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Business Data Analyst specializing in reconciliation to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and reconciling business data across various systems to ensure accuracy and consistency. This role involves working closely with multiple departments to identify discrepancies, provide actionable insights, and support data-driven decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Reconciliation: Perform thorough data reconciliation to identify and resolve discrepancies between different data sources and systems.
- Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies. Utilize statistical and analytical tools to understand and interpret data.
- Reporting: Develop and maintain regular reports and dashboards to communicate reconciliation results and data quality insights to stakeholders.
- Issue Resolution: Investigate data discrepancies, identify root causes, and collaborate with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in data reconciliation and data quality assurance. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaboration: Work closely with finance, operations, IT, and other departments to ensure data integrity and support business operations.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data reconciliation processes, methodologies, findings, and resolutions.
- Data Quality Assurance: Implement and oversee data quality assurance measures to ensure ongoing data accuracy and reliability.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in business data analysis, data reconciliation, or a related role. Experience in a business environment with a focus on data integrity and quality is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL and database management.
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Python, R, or Excel.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data governance.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data sets.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reconciliation.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
