Individual to be involved in:
1. Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers and subcontractors.
2. Negotiating contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure the best prices and quality.
3. Implementing cost-saving initiatives and strategies without compromising quality.
4. Drafting, reviewing, and managing procurement contracts and agreements.
5. Forecasting procurement needs based on project schedules and requirements.
6. Preparing regular reports on procurement activities, spending, and savings.
7. Presenting procurement performance and updates to senior management.
Technical Skills and Competencies:
1. Trainee will learn to develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and effective issue resolution.
2. Trainee will learn to monitor contract performance and enforce compliance with contractual terms.
3. Trainee will learn to analyze and report on cost variances and procurement spending.
4. Trainee will learn to develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and budgets.
5. Trainee will learn to have strong analytical skills to assess procurement data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
6. Trainee will learn to have strong understanding of budgeting, cost analysis, and financial principles related to procurement.
