We are looking for a driven individual who has technical expertise and sales experience in the energy storage field and who is a self-starter and can follow the opportunity from identification/screening to sales close.
We are actively pursuing distributed and utility-scale energy storage projects in both stand-alone storage and renewables-plus-storage use cases. The candidate will plan, coordinate, prioritize, monitor and evaluate sales opportunities and must be a creative problem-solver with an ability to combine technical expertise, commercial knowledge, and relationship building to originate and close opportunities.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
· Identify, develop sales opportunities with existing and prospective customers and evaluate opportunities for future business opportunities.
· Work with existing sales and engineering teams to evaluate opportunities for sales.
· Engage and developed strong customer relationships with existing and prospective customers
· Evaluate market information, identify target geographies and opportunity types, and develop and execute strategies to successfully grow our energy storage business.
· Maintain a working expertise on policy, and incentives in relevant markets to ensure we pursue opportunities in an efficient and effective way.
· Demonstrate a thorough understanding of how distributed and/or utility-tied energy storage can qualitatively and quantitatively benefit both the customers and utilities as both a stand-alone solution and integrated with other renewable technologies.
· Ability to develop financial models to screen the economic benefits of specific storage projects, taking into consideration various revenue sources, capex, opex, and other technical assumptions is a plus.
· Work closely with GenPlus engineering and Pre-sales teams in developing proposals for clients.
Requirements
· 3+ years’ of experience in technical in energy storage solutions/products and;
· 2+ years of commercial experience in energy storage/products or other renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency, or energy/sustainability solutions sales.
· Electrical engineering degree preferred.
· Solid understanding of design of energy storage systems, including sizing the battery and battery PCS and integration with solar PV, BMS, EMS and SCADA.
· Existing relationships and proven results in the direct sale of energy storage, renewable energy, energy efficiency, sustainability, and/or other energy products, solutions or services.
· Experience serving utility, commercial, industrial, and institutional clients.
· Excellent professional communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.
· Ability to multi-task and manage effectively and accurately in a deadline-driven, challenging environment.
· Has a can-do attitude, willing and able to overcome challenges
· Independent, Self-starter, able to work with little direction
