Our client, a leading European multinational corporation (MNC) in the engineering sector, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Inside Sales and Quality Assurance Manager to lead their internal sales and technical teams and drive business growth.

This role combines responsibilities in external sales support, technical consultancy, project management, quality assurance, and inside sales management. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, excellent communication skills, exceptional customer service skills, and a proven track record in managing both technical and sales teams.


Key Responsibilities:


Technical Sales Support:
- Assist external sales teams in securing projects requiring complex engineering design.
- Provide consultancy and advice to customers on product engineering matters.
- Offer customers detailed advice and cost estimates for products and solutions.
- Manage project technical requirements and coordinate with factories and third-party suppliers.
- Create and review drawings to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Coordinate among sales, engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure optimal service and customer satisfaction.
- Manage conflicts and engineering design changes to reduce deviations and costs.


**Quality Assurance and Control:
- Oversee quality standards for the company's engineering activities.
- Manage and supervise QA/QC personnel to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Coordinate with factories to ensure quality compliance throughout the supply chain.
- Oversee the preparation of commercial and technical proposals for tender submissions.
- Develop processes and implement RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) procedures.
- Support technical service activities and resolve technical problems.


**Inside Sales Management:
- Establish clear department goals and objectives (define KPIs).
- Monitor, manage, and improve KPI metrics (sales, quotation and order throughput times, customer satisfaction, etc.).
- Continuously improve processes, procedures, and work instructions.
- Ensure compliance with internal control system measures.
- Recognize and address procedural and policy gaps.
- Foster a 24/7 customer service attitude.
- Measure and improve individual inside sales performance.
- Coordinate and manage interactions with other departments (IT, Accounting, Engineering, Product Management, etc.).
- Coordinate priorities with Engineering and Operations.
- Manage interactions with other companies (e.g., Headquarters, international branches).


**Business Development:
- Manage the business generation process (quotations, follow-up, technical support, sales leads) for the SEA and Japanese markets.
- Implement comprehensive quotation proposals highlighting technical advantages and customer benefits.
- Manage communications with the External Sales team.
- Define customer requirements and goals at the beginning of the quotation process.
- Develop an “opportunity ownership mentality.”
- Initiate and manage proactive selling activities (targeting low-sales customers, new customers, key product promotions, etc.).
- Manage price negotiations in line with applicable rules and regulations.
- Manage customer complaint logs and issue corrective and preventive actions.
- Obtain customer feedback through surveys, meetings, and teleconferences.


**Order Handling:
- Monitor and deliver on deadlines.
- Manage and charge for change orders.
- Ensure quick turnaround of errors, mistakes, and customer requests.
- Handle and coordinate RMAs (Return Material Authorizations).


**Coaching, Education, and Training:
- Coach and train internal sales team members on efficient processes and policies.
- Build a technically competent internal sales team through coaching and training.
- Train on selling skills, cross-selling, and proactive customer service techniques.
- Foster strong and lasting customer relationships through effective coaching and training.


Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in technical customer service support and quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of engineering design and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with various departments.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
