Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- To oversee the growth and development of crops in a hydroponic system
- To develop and manage the nutrient solutions to optimize crop yield and quality
- Ensure that the hydroponic systems are functioning in order
- To regularly monitor, report findings and suggest improvements on the crop health, growth rates and environmental conditions.
- To maintain high standards of hygiene and safety in the farm and ensure that regulations are being complied to
- To be involved in the Research and Development by staying updated with advancement in hydroponics and implementing new techniques or technologies
- Involve in staff training by conducting trainings to farm staff on hydroponic systems and sharing of best practices
- To troubleshoot and resolve issues related to plant growth and system performance
- To analyse data and make informed decisions based on crop performance metrics
- Any other ad-hoc jobs/projects as assigned by superior
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Agricultural Science, Horticulture, Plant Science or related field. Specialized courses or certifications in hydroponics will have an added advantage.
- Working experience in hydroponic systems and crop production preferred
- Deep understanding of hydroponic systems, nutrient solutions, pH and EC management is required
- Strong data analysis and innovative problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and independent individual with good interpersonal and strong passion in agriculture and hydroponic farming
