Job Description
- To prepare detailed working drawings, incorporating engineering instructions and comments.
- Able to use Tekla and BIM software to generate Shop drawings assembly drawings, cut list/parts, and material list.
- To coordinate with site teams and fabrication teams.
- To assist in the development and improvement of BIM modelling workflows and standards.
- To prepare RFI, RFA and Method Statement and submissions.
- To coordinate with RE to carry out inspections at site.
- To contribute to project planning and monitoring by assisting the Project Manager in meeting targets and milestones, ensuring alignment with the master program and detailed time programs for civil engineering works.
- Facilitated communication through regular meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractor technical teams, addressing technical issues during both pre-construction and construction phases.
- To develop precise technical drawings and comprehensive engineering plans for civil engineering projects, encompassing aspects such as drainage, water supply, and roads.
- To manage project timelines by creating and adjusting work schedules, effectively communicating changes to crew members and clients, in line with civil engineering work assignment instructions.
- To ensure quality assurance by reviewing work thoroughly and providing constructive feedback to the team, aligning with the standards set for civil engineering works.
- To apply value engineering principles in project execution, demonstrating a commitment to optimizing material costs and enhancing the overall efficiency of civil engineering designs and plans.
- To contribute to project management tasks by preparing and executing method statements, assisting the Project Manager in monthly project claims, and calculating variations and progress reports using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project, in adherence to civil engineering specifications.
- To engage in on-site investigations, analysing data from reports, tests, and drawings, showcasing a commitment to performing fieldwork and collecting data for civil engineering projects.
- To ensure quality control by checking the characteristics of materials, verifying their compliance with specifications, and meticulously preparing documentation for material submissions to consultants, aligning with the standards for civil engineering works.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
- At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Good written communication skills
- Able to use Tekla and BIM, AutoCAD 2D and Microsoft Office
- Able to work independently, multi-task hardworking
- Preferably able to commence within short notice
