JOB SUMMARY
To assist all cooks to provide consistent quality of food and services to internal and external customers, by adhering to all Marriott Standards and Policies and Singapore Marriott Hotel standards of excellence.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work close together with Dim Sum, Chopper 1, Steamer 1 and Stove 1 Chefs.
- Be on time to report to work.
- Help to prepare all food according to recipe cards and follow the standard of food to reach a standard of excellence.
- Instruction has to be followed at all times.
- To work in a safe manner at all times, to eliminate accidents.
- To enforce our policy, “Clean As you go”.
- Daily cleaning of kitchen equipment in work area.
- Daily check and cleaning of walking fridge.
- Daily covering, rotating and dating of all food items.
- Co-operation and team work at all times.
- Perform all other reasonable tasks as requested by Management.
- Will sign acceptance of tools – uniforms and knives etc. and will pay back to the company any money for loss or damage of said tools.
- If any employee is sick, he will immediately contact his immediate supervisor or Executive Chef and will collect a sick note before returning to work.
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Candidate must possess at least a Primary/ Secondary School /"O" Level, Higher secondary/Pre-U/A level/College, Professional Certificate/NiTEC, any field
- At least 1 year of experience in similar capacity
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Assist in the preparation and making of chinese dishes
- Possess good interpersonal skills, team player and positive attitude
- Able to work rotating shifts and on weekend and public holidays
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent working attitude and willing to constantly grow his/her skills
