The Role:
As a Finance Director, you will lead and oversee the Finance and Accounting teams managing the full spectrum of finance's activities ranging from accurate financial management, compliance, and reporting to budgeting, forecasting, month-end closures, and daily reconciliations. Most importantly, you will be acting as the Managing Director's finance business partner providing sound advices on how best to drive business growth through Finance.
- Lead and Review Team Activities: Oversee and evaluate the daily operations of our Finance and Accounting teams to ensure optimal performance.
- Comprehensive Financial Management: Take charge of financial management, ensuring compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting are seamlessly executed.
- Ensure Accurate Reconciliation: Guarantee the completion of daily reconciliation tasks, maintaining financial accuracy.
- Manage Month-End Closures: Review and finalize month-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Enhance Financial Processes: Develop, streamline, and enhance our financial management and reporting processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Prepare Financial Statements: Deliver timely and precise consolidated monthly and annual financial statements and reports in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Provide Financial Insights: Offer valuable financial insights and conduct ad hoc analyses to support business decisions.
- Authority and Auditor Liaison: Act as the main point of contact with authorities, auditors, and the corporate office to ensure compliance and smooth operations.
- Drive Digital Transformation: Lead the digitalization of our finance processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide targeted strategic insights across every department of a business based on analysis of operational performance, industry dynamics, market trends, etc.
- Provide analysis to support any strategic business decisions and perform thorough financial analysis including financial modeling, profitability analysis, monitoring business issues and impact to bottom line.
- Act as catalyst in driving forward initiatives critical to achieving key commercial strategies and objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree and above in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA/CPA qualifications are an added advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position (e.g., CFO, Finance Director).
- Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting techniques, and financial analysis tools.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Effective leadership skill and people management.
