Purpose:
Marine Oil and Gas Applies expert preservation knowledge and seasoned project / site experience to ensure operational excellence in application and execution of all asset and equipment preservation activities across all projects through the entire life cycle of EPCI.
Responsibilities:
- Review OEM / Supplier Documents and ensure that Company requirements are complied.
- Review & Approve Yard Preservation Procedures / Documents and ensure that Company requirements are complied with.
- Ensure that Company / Supplier / OEM / Client preservation requirements are included as part of Preservation program.
- Responsible to Set up and maintain the Preservation database (CMS).
- Preservation Coordinator will be responsible to ensure that preservation requirements are performed in various Project phases and documented.
- Prepare & Procure Preservation Material / Consumable / Tools etc as required.
- Ensure that Each Project Execution site maintains Sufficient Inventory and manpower support for Preservation program execution as per Schedule.
- Provide single point of contact for information and guidance when conflict arises pertaining to the overall care of the equipment between interface owners.
- Coordinate preservation activities at all locations.
- Develop / Organize / Participate in preservation surveillance plan at respective project execution site.
- Prepare / Review / Issue Preservation status reports for the Project.
- Develop Preservation awareness / Training Program and roll out at project Execution sites.
- Develop / Implement mitigation plan for any Lessons learnt for Preservation Activities.
- Responsible for handover of Preservation Records / Evidence to Operations Team.
- Coordinate with Company Maintenance team for operating Equipment / System maintenance routine implementation until handover to Operations Team
- Perform risk Assessment for hazards involved with Preservation activities / Chemicals.
- Coordination with Construction / Commissioning / Operations team to ensure the SIMOPS are managed.
- Ensure necessary Safe System of Work (e.g. Permit to Work, Toolbox talk etc.) process is followed.
- Generate weekly reports from preservation database and share amongst the PMT / interested parties and with dept.
- Independent on regular nature of work, uses personal experience, and applies relevant company policies and procedures.
- Uses creativity, constructive thinking and interprets / independent judgment to formulate results based on principles, personal experience. Develop unique solutions for complex issues.
- Anticipates potential problems, and proactively solves problems through creative thinking / using internal and external resources.
- Additionally carry forward the COMPANY HSEQ policies / requirements to the team and meet overall HSEQ objectives in all projects / feedback results to corporate HSEQ team.
- Must not disclose confidential technical / non-technical information to any unauthorized person / company / competitors.
- Knowledge sharing to the team of all the lessons learnt during the project.
- Develop best practices, product information and its applications to the project equipment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering with 10 to 12 years work experience (or) Master Degree in Engineering with 7 to 10 years work experience with minimum of 10 years work experience in onshore/offshore Oil & Gas area or FPSO line(s). Also a Diploma in Engineering with 12 to 15 years’ work experience (making the equivalent to degree) can also be considered.
- Min 5 years direct “hands on” experience in equipment maintenance and preservation in oil and gas processing is required.
- Knowledge of offshore facilities is essential and offshore work experience is an advantage.
- Must be experienced in carrying out preservation of multi disciplines: - Electro-Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation, mechanical, rotating & static equipment, turbomachinery, piping etc.
- High safety awareness is mandatory. A good knowledge of managing simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) is essential.
- Significant knowledge of multiple technologies, projects and applications. Working knowledge of computing and alternative technologies.
- Familiar in use of Software, Database systems related to System Completion, Project Management (MS Project / P6) and General computer literacy (MS office).
- Shows evidence of good Organizing / Management skills.
- Demonstrate ability to lead supervisors and Technicians Good communication skill.
