We are seeking a highly skilled Electrician to join our ship management team in Singapore. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet by providing expert electrical support and maintenance.
What you will be doing:
- Provide direct assistance to fleet vessels with the daily maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical, electronic, electro-hydraulic, electro-pneumatic, and automation systems.
- Review and refine the fleet's planned maintenance schedules for the above-mentioned systems, including power generation, backup power, and fire detection, and present them to the Technical Manager.
- Mentor and advise onboard engineers on tasks requiring specialized electrical expertise to optimize the operation and upkeep of these systems.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to addressing equipment failures by promptly attending to fleet vessels, conducting fault diagnosis, and implementing effective solutions.
- Liaise with Technical Superintendents to determine the necessity of shore-based support or spare parts procurement when onboard resolutions prove insufficient.
- Conduct ship visits in collaboration with Technical Superintendents to provide direct technical assistance.
- Submit comprehensive weekly reports detailing completed work to the Technical Manager.
- Identify and propose enhancements and modifications to electrical and automation systems to enhance vessel efficiency.
- Actively contribute to fostering a learning environment by sharing expertise across different fleets.
- Provide input to Technical Superintendents regarding defect identification and electrical repair specifications during dry docking planning.
- Collaborate with Technical Superintendents by offering electrical insights into incident investigations.
- Actively participate in refining departmental procedures for continuous improvement.

What we are looking for:
- Experience working on oil, gas, chemical tankers, or offshore support vessels.
- Tertiary education in Electrical, Electronic, or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience as an Electrical-Technical Officer (ETO) on seagoing vessels, demonstrating compliance with STCW standards of competence.
- Solid understanding and practical hands-on skills in electrical power distribution, maintenance, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis related to electrical, instrumentation, automation, control, and HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with the regulatory and legislative framework governing the shipping industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both onboard and shore-based teams.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Outlook for email communication, Microsoft Word for report writing, and basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
