Reporting to the Head of Finance in Japan, your role encompasses responsibilities for both the asset management company and real estate special purpose company (e.g.TMK, TK-GK).
Responsibilities:
- Lead monthly and yearly financial closing tasks, including communication with accounting outsourcing service providers.
- Manage budgeting activities and closely monitor cash flow.
- Prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecast reports.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in audit processes.
- Foster effective communication and relationships with financial institutions.
- Provide regular reports to the Singapore headquarters regarding financial performance and key initiatives.
- Undertake additional accounting-related tasks as required.
- Effectively manage a team and provide guidance and support.
- Drive business improvement projects to enhance financial operations and processes.
Requirements:
- Minimally 8 years of relevant experience.
- Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) / US Certified Public Accountant / Higher Level Bookkeeping.
- Proven practical experience in corporate accounting and familiarity with JGAAP.
- Business level proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with the Singapore headquarters.
- Strong team management skills and the ability to lead and develop a team.
- Previous experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is highly desirable.
- Practical experience within financial institutions, particularly in foreign companies, is advantageous.
- A background in accounting for funds or real estate SPC is preferred.
- Experience in implementing accounting systems is highly valued.
- Previous experience as a lead auditor in an audit firm or as a field leader within an accounting department in a business company is beneficial.
