In a typical day the NPI Sourcing Team Lead works with Project Core Teams, Suppliers, and Engineering to provide sourcing project procurement support, determine technology design approaches and alignment of supplier capabilities to provide cost and quality advantages. The NPI Sourcing Team Lead will steer the sourcing efforts within a project to meet launch dates, project target costing, supplier/part RFQ’s and selection of buy parts for any assigned project.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Lead the NPI Sourcing team locally to support R&D, Marketing and Global Supply Chain sites.
- Manage a team of NPI Sourcing Specialists, supporting both Clinical Diagnostics and Life Science NPD projects, implementing/Monitoring KPIs for his team.
- Decide on the spent materials in support of NPI projects, in collaboration with R&D and Supply Assurance and ensure positive financial impact of new Inventory.
- Represent Bio Rad to NPI suppliers, Qualify and on-board new Suppliers in support of NPI projects.
- Support and completes new product launch documents in support of NPI procurement.
What You Bring:

- Bachelor of Science degree in supply chain management, economics, finance, operations, engineering, business, accounting, manufacturing, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience managing NPI Procurement, supply chain; sourcing technical, electronics and mechanical parts or related components.
- Electronics or technology NPD project support.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentations to executive level management
- Excellent knowledge of 21 CFR part 820 and ISO 13485 (experience in auditing suppliers to these standards)
- Significant computer experience using Windows, Word, Excel, Access, and ERP Information Systems, preferably SAP.
