LDC in South & Southeast Asia
LDC first established a presence in Asia more than 100 years ago with an office opening in Melbourne, Australia in 1913, trading grains to the international market. Our regional headquarters opened in Singapore in 1993, which now serves as the hub for our origination and merchandizing activities in the South & Southeast Asia Region, which spans across 9 platforms – Oilseeds, Grains, Rice, Freight, Global Markets, Coffee, Cotton, Sugar, and Dairy – across 7 countries of Singapore, Australia, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Pakistan, and Malaysia.

Main Responsibilities:
Coffee Team is expanding to meet the increasing growing demand in Asia. We are looking at a motivated individual to join the team to help us in expanding our Asia marketing footprint.
Marketing:
- Responsible for managing relationship with the buyers from the region including pricing, market info, negotiate and conclude contracts.
- Following up and managing physical contracts executions, as well as managing relevant futures pricing.
- Coordinate commercial activities and participate in discussion involving marketing strategies.
- Develop good understanding of demand/supply and relay relevant information to the Group.
- Developing new leads, establish new accounts for the region and may involve for any new developing projects.
Research:
- Hold ownership of research data & perform information verification, processing & analysis.
- Identify, track product development & trends in the industry.
- Develop tools to improve clarity and information quality for marketing strategies.
Trade Admin/ Internal Processes:
- Participate actively on desk processes. Be a force of proposal to develop new tools to improve/automate processes.
- Support the team through any new processes and take charge of bringing the information to the team.
- To involve in IT Innovation & transformation, building the team’s competency efficiency on IT processes.
Experiences:
- 1-3 years’ experience in commodity cash trading and/or marketing.
- Experienced in SEA agriculture commodity market, any prior working experience on Coffee related will be a plus.
- Very strong analytical skills, including excellent handle of Excel & macros, coding skills a plus.
- Requires entrepreneurial & good interpersonal skills & a team player.
- Possess work ethics and humility, high level of ownership and responsibility.
Academics:
- Degree in any relevant academic qualifications
