Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of Nyonya kuih, including but not limited to kueh lapis, ondeh-ondeh, kueh salat, and kueh bingka, following traditional recipes and techniques.
- Develop and refine recipes to ensure the highest quality and consistency of all kuih products.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene in the kitchen. Conduct regular quality checks on ingredients and finished products.
- Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained and orders are placed as needed.
- Work closely with other kitchen staff and management to coordinate and streamline kitchen operations.
- Occasionally engage with customers to receive feedback and provide information about our kuih offerings.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma in Culinary Arts or relevant field
- Proven experience in a similar role specializing in traditional Peranakan desserts
- Good knowledge of traditional Nyonya ingredients, techniques, and presentation
- Attention to detail, passion for preserving the authenticity of traditional recipes
- Creative and innovative approach to recipe development and presentation

- Standard working hours, alternate Saturday
- Salary up to $3900 (depends on experience) + Transport allowance + Bonus
