The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ship Master to lead our vessel operations for the construction of seaward facilities and power upgrades. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe and efficient execution of marine operations, including transportation and logistics support for construction activities.
Key Responsibilities:
● Plan and oversee the vessel's voyage, ensuring timely and safe transportation of personnel, equipment, and materials to and from construction sites.
● Navigate the vessel efficiently, adapting to changing conditions and ensuring compliance with project schedules.
● Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures specific to construction and offshore operations.
● Ensure all maritime regulations and construction site safety standards are adhered to.
● Coordinate with construction managers and project teams to facilitate operations, including mooring, positioning, and transfer of construction materials.
● Oversee the loading and unloading of cargo related to seaward facilities and power upgrades.
● Lead and manage the vessel’s crew, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
● Ensure crew compliance with safety regulations and operational procedures.
● Supervise routine maintenance and emergency repairs to ensure the vessel's operational readiness.
● Coordinate with maintenance teams and service providers to address technical issues.
● Maintain clear and effective communication with project stakeholders, including construction teams, port authorities, and company management.
● Provide regular updates on vessel operations, project progress, and any incidents or delays.
● Lead emergency response efforts in case of incidents such as equipment failures, environmental hazards, or medical emergencies.
The ideal candidate should preferably:
● Possess Master’s manning licence and Module 1.
● Have at least 5 years of experience as a Ship Master onboard a dredger vessel.
