About the job
Based in our Singapore office, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing IT projects on maritime vessels. This includes managing project timelines, ensuring technical requirements are met, and coordinating with various stakeholders to deliver high-quality IT solutions for our maritime operations.
To thrive in this position, you'll need to possess exceptional project management skills, the ability to design and implement complex IT systems, and a deep understanding of the IT solutions and infrastructure used in the maritime industry.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform IT Project Evaluation, Design, and Network Drawings:
o Conduct thorough evaluations of IT project requirements
o Design comprehensive network layouts and schematics to meet project needs
· Implement Small Scale Server Infrastructure in a Maritime Environment:
o Set up and maintain server infrastructure including servers, firewalls, VDI, virtualization, and UTM
o Ensure robust and secure network implementations onboard maritime vessels
· Prepare Documentation:
o Create detailed design specifications, user manuals, and cost overviews
o Maintain accurate records to support project budgeting and tracking
· Deliver Project Deliverables and Complete Milestones on Schedule:
o Ensure all project deliverables are met according to schedule
o Manage project milestones effectively to ensure timely completion
Requirements:
· Experience in Project Implementation and Deployment of Server-Based Infrastructure:
o Proven track record of managing IT projects in a maritime or similar environment
· Knowledge in VDI, Firewall, UTM, Virtualization:
o Technical expertise in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), firewalls, Unified Threat Management (UTM), and virtualization technologies
· Cybersecurity Knowledge is an Advantage:
o Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices to ensure secure IT operations
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
· Relevant certifications in IT project management or network administration are a plus
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
· Singaporeans or Singapore PR only
· Full-time commitment level
· High motivation and readiness to take on new challenges
