Global Credit & Collections Manager
Our client is looking for an experienced professional who can monitor credit, assess customer financial risks, and optimize processes.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct credit reviews and pre-vet potential new customers and opportunities using Credit Risk Monitor and COFACE to assess financial risk.
- Ensure that Credit Control policies and procedures adhere to best practices and SOX compliance; provide support, education, and training as needed.
- Manage collections effectively across six regions to ensure timely payments.
- Collaborate on process improvement initiatives across the six regions under the guidance of the Reporting Manager
- Support the implementation and training of the SAP Global Credit and Collections Module, focusing on deduction/collections management, SAP metrics, interest billing, and dunning notices.
- Oversee monthly and quarterly reviews for bad debt and bankruptcies.
- Coordinate meetings between Commercial, Credit, Finance, and Management to address trends and solutions for overdue accounts, facilitating timely payments.
- Monitor and engage in follow-ups with the Credit Desk.
- Assist in preparing Credit documentation for annual credit reviews, credit memorandums, and financial evaluations for major customers.
- Undertake additional tasks assigned by the reporting manager as required to meet business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or equivalent practical experience.
- Over 5 years of experience in global credit management
- Proficiency in SAP and credit risk management and analysis
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel (vlookup/pivot tables), and Outlook.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review, comprehend, and interpret customer financial statements.
- Effective prioritization and time management skills to consistently meet deadlines.
- Collaborative team player capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
