Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Qualification Tests:
- Conduct qualification tests for new products, product changes, and new sources.
- Issue comprehensive test reports detailing the findings and results of qualification tests.
- Ensure all tests are performed according to established protocols and standards
Support Cost-Saving Initiatives:
- Qualify and continuously monitor vendors and internal process to ensure quality materials and components at competitive prices without compromising quality.
- Validate alternative materials and suppliers that offer cost advantages.
Localization and Supply Chain Optimization:
- Assess and qualify local suppliers to meet quality standards, reducing dependence on distant suppliers.
- Ensure consistent quality from localized suppliers through rigorous testing and qualification processes.
- Oversee the transition to local suppliers, providing technical support and guidance.
Support on Root Cause Analysis and Issue Resolution:
- Support root cause analysis for any findings or failures during qualification tests.
- Propose and implement corrective actions to address issues identified during testing.
Routine Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Take care of routine maintenance of all test facilities and equipment.
- Perform basic troubleshooting to ensure all testing equipment is functioning properly and efficiently.
Streamlining Testing Procedures:
- Implement comprehensive testing protocols for new and existing products.
- Optimize existing testing procedures to reduce time and resource consumption while maintaining high standards of quality assurance.
- Provide training for staff on new testing protocols and maintain thorough documentation for consistency and compliance.
5S Workplace Organization:
- Maintain a well-organized, clean, and efficient work environment in line with 5S principles.
- Promote and adhere to 5S practices to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality in the workplace.
Additional Tasks:
Willingness to take on any additional tasks assigned by the management.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or equivalent in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Candidates with strong hands-on experience in quality assurance, testing, laboratory, and site service will be highly considered, even without a diploma.
- Experience in service and site installation is highly valued.
- Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, testing protocols, and experience with localization efforts.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Good habit of maintaining a well-organized workplace according to 5S principles.
- Ability to plan, execute, and document tests effectively, with proactive management of test deviations.
- Training will be provided to ensure the successful candidate is well-equipped for the role.
