Job Summary

The Transformation Project Analyst role is a critical role within the CIB Banking & Coverage CoE team, and key to the success of the Credit Analyst Transformation programs. This is an important role in ensuring a well governed, organised and executed program. While scale, scope and complexity of initiatives may vary, the responsibilities are required to be delivered under tight deadlines, across multiple geographic locations, with demanding stakeholders and with strong operational and delivery risk management.
The Credit Analyst Transformation initiative brings the CA target operating model to life across operational, process, and policy changes; supporting our Client Coverage transformational agenda including Credit Transformation Accelerator; and shaping future career paths for CA as we shift towards a skills-led organisation.
• The successful delivery of the assigned projects in time, scope, quality and budget.
• Manage project deliverables and contractual obligations to time, cost and quality.
• Ensure the delivery of initiative in line with the Bank’s control and governance framework.
• Implement governance standards, including tracking, monitoring and updating the status of project deliverables.
• Build and manage positive relationships with external stakeholders across the projects as well as internally, identify and manage anticipated hurdles, and provide support where necessary to drive successful delivery.
• Deliver effective project communication and supporting documentation.
• Ensure all project/initiative deliverables, artefacts and approvals are stored in a structured discoverable format for future recovery and audit.
• Provide effective support including meeting scheduling and minute taking, team and stakeholder liaison, representation at meetings, coordination of programme activities.
• Prepare reporting as required for any meeting forums
• Drive proactive management of issues and risks – working closely with key stakeholder to recognise the overall Program level risks and identifying mitigation action plans
• Drive process re-engineering and transformation to align with strategic and program initiatives
• Develop Subject Matter Expertise for Financial Credit Risk Analysis and related processes to facilitate transformation for the business.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy
• Contributes to the Banking & Coverage CoE agenda and translate strategic goals into executable plans to impact operational cost and risk drivers for the CIB Coverage (CC) Business.
• In consultation with key stakeholders develop operating models, technology solution(s), processes, roles and responsibility, staffing structure, governance and implementation plans for agreed in-scope Transformation initiatives.
• Demonstrate strategic thinking and recommend solutions aimed at improving the Bank’s productivity and efficiency.

Business
• Support the development and implementation of strategic initiatives related to key areas within Banking & Coverage CoE.

Processes

• Drives the execution of Credit Analyst Transformation initiatives as required to meet business strategy.
• Supports the definition and delivery of ongoing enhancements for in scope processes. This includes management of governance, risk / controls and regulatory requirements, policy implementation, business transformation, operating model & change programmes.
• Develops Subject Matter Expertise for the relevant operational and business processes.
• Constantly review and resolve the risks arising from policy, process, system and procedures with an aim to improve the risk assessment quality, efficiency and effectiveness and meet the required regulatory and internal standards.
• Drive Optimisation of current processes and models to meet internal and external customer requirements
• Process review and re-engineering to support transformation initiatives in consultation with Subject Matter Experts and end users.

• Has awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
• Supports the delivery of effective governance in compliance with applicable internal policies and external laws and regulations, overseeing changes in business controls as required.
• Contributes to a strong conduct, risk and control environment to minimise operational lose and audit failures and in partnership with relevant stakeholders to ensure appropriate focus on issues and resolution.

• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. Our Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years of experience in large scale program in financial services, corporate or investment banking preferably in credit analysis.
• Change management and solution implementation experience
• Business process reengineering experience
• Knowledge of Financial Credit Risk processes and domain preferred
• Ability to manage implementation and to follow through on execution and closure
• Ability to quickly ramp up on new concepts to keep up with the changing environment, deal with uncertainty
• Excellent professional skills, communication (including verbal, presentation and written) skills
• Ability to multi-task with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to liaise independently across a wide variety of businesses, operational, functional, and technical teams, to achieve defined objectives
• Demonstrates good understanding of a wide range of elements of the Bank’s business and the customers, industries, and partners with which the Bank is involved.
• Collaboration skills: ability to drive understanding and information exchange across all stakeholders
• Attention to detail, ability to articulate without ambiguity
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Agile and traditional project management methodology experience preferred
• Collaborative, Team player, with a very strong willingness to share and impart knowledge
• Highly Competent in MS Word, Power Point, and Excel
