The Company has a subsidiary company in Suzhou and an office in Boston.
The incumbent will oversee the financial operations of the Group, advise on investment plans, monitor the company’s finances and produce financial reports. He/she will be working closely with leaders to develop and implement strategies and plans to achieve the company’s long-term objectives.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
1. Implement and oversee Financial and Accounting system controls and standards used by the Group.
2. Ensures timely provision of Group financial and statistical reports for management.
3. Ensuring that all accounting functions are accurately and effectively fulfilled.
4. Working with finance and accounting personnel to prepare budgets, forecasts, and other financial plans.
5. Timely preparation of group cash flows forecasts to ensure the availability of funds as required.
6. Liaison with external auditors to ensure that audits are properly planned, carried out and that financial reports are prepared within set timelines.
7. Build financial models, conduct financial analysis and create business metrics in support of company fundraising, strategic partnerships and acquisitions.
8. Lead the ongoing development of the finance system and reporting tools ensuring it successfully meets all the Company needs. Work with the executive leaders on the integration of the finance system with the CRM application.
9. Coordinate the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for relevant stakeholders.
10. To carry out any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by CEO.
Education and Experience
1. Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, CA/CPA qualified.
2. Possess at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
3. Experience in fundraising will be an advantage.
4. Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow modelling, audit, tax and compliance obligations accounting.
5. Good interpersonal skills to enable global, cross-cultural and cross-functional engagements.
6. Able to work in start-up environment.
