Roles & Responsibilities


We are looking for a pro-active and detail-oriented Logistics & Trade Support Executive to manage the logistics and trade distribution activities for our Company. The Logistics & Trade Support Executive is responsible for developing and implementing strategies, communicating and building strong relationships with different stakeholders, coordinating and ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods to customers. The candidate should be resourceful, meticulous, possess strong organizational and communications skills as well as a solid understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles.


Responsibilities


Logistics Strategic Planning & Trade Support

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to grow company’s profitability.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization and cost-effective solutions.
  • Proactively analyse, identify and resolve operational issues in the logistics and trade processes.
  • Monitor regulatory developments in the fields of shipping and customs. Stay informed about changes in trade policies, customs procedures, and logistics regulations affecting our product’s landscape.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align logistics strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Support and assist Account Manager for inquiries and quotations.
  • Assist Account Manager on RFQ and coordinate meeting minutes and reports as and when required.

Vendor and Client Relations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, carriers, freight forwarders, customs authorities, and regulatory bodies. Leverage carrier partners to build relationships.
  • Oversee and optimize freight logistics network particularly in Asia region, ensuring efficient transportation goods within the region and globally.
  • Collaborate with local and international carriers and freight forwarders to enhance service quality and reliability. Source and negotiate of freight rates and contracts.
  • Issue invoices to customers and handle invoices discrepancies with customer.

Logistics & Operation Coordination

  • Coordinate and monitor the shipments of goods from suppliers to customers.
  • Carry out shipment booking and liaise with suppliers, carriers, and freight forwarder to ensure timely pickup and delivery of shipments.
  • Plan and optimize shipment routes to reduce expenses and improve efficiency.
  • Track and update shipment status, ensuring accurate and timely communication with all stakeholders.
  • Resolve any transportation or distribution issues or delays promptly and escalate when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with customs requirements (tariff classifications, customs clearance procedures, customs documents, international trade regulations).

Requirements

  • BachelorDegree in Logistics/Supply Chain or related field with 3 years of experience in logistics related position.
  • Possess strong communication skills - able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders in both spoken and written.
  • Able to communicate, read and write/type in Chinese with our Chinese suppliers and customers.
  • Proven experience in global freight and logistics management
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Attention to details – follows procedure accurately, carefully and completes documents and report accurately.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to derive actionable insights.
  • Able to work pro-actively and independently, with maturity and a team player.
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures
  • Meticulous and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
  • Flexible, can adapt to changing priorities and business requirements.
  • Good customer relationship management skills.
  • Strong communications and negotiating skills
  • Willing to work beyond regular work hours to address supplier, agent or customer inquiries.
