As a Fish Farm Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing farming activities to maximize yield and profitability. Your role involves managing resources, implementing best practices, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate farm operations, including feeding, removing dead or dying fish, harvesting, and livestock care.
- Identifying and reporting signs of aquatic diseases, pests or predators.
- Develop and implement farming plans, schedules, and budgets to optimize productivity and profitability.
- Monitor fish yields, livestock health, and environmental conditions to identify issues and implement corrective measures.
- Supervise and train farm workers.
- Monitoring water quality and recording water quality data.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental laws, and industry standards.
- Manage inventory levels of fingerlings, growth of fish, and other farm inputs.
- Implement sustainable farming practices to conserve resources and minimize environmental impact.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in aquaculture, science, or related field.
- Proven experience in farm management or aquaculture production.
- Knowledge of fish, livestock management, and farm operations.
