The Opportunity:
Adecco is partnering with an independent local label that designs, develops, and retails women's apparel and accessories, we are seeking a suitable talent to join their business as a Senior Retail Merchandiser to join their business! Reporting to the Founder, the successful candidate is responsible for retail merchandising and production merchandising activities. Retail merchandising includes open-to-buy management, category and assortment analytics, flow planning, in-season financial forecasts, and promotional/markdown activities. Production merchandising activities include product development, quote sheets, sample verification & order follow-up.

- Work hours: 9am - 6pm, Mondays - Fridays

- Fashion industry (mainly womenswear and accessories)
- Salary up to $4,800 / month
The Job:
Retail Merchandising
- Create and execute comprehensive merchandising strategies to achieve sales and profitability targets.
- Accurately forecast sales, manage Open-to-Buy (OTB) budgets, and monitor product category performance to ensure optimal inventory levels and sales targets are met.
- Manage stock by handling retail and warehouse inventories, forecast and allocate stock, order management, and monitor incoming shipments and sales volumes.
- Develop and manage product categories to maximize sales and profitability through strategic assortment planning and analysis.
- Plan and support the execution of in-season activities including repeat orders, markdowns, and stock consolidation.
- Assist in forecasting profits/sales and planning yearly budgets.
- Stay informed about changing consumer behaviors and emerging merchandising trends to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Identify and explore new business opportunities to expand market presence and drive growth.
Production Merchandising
- Identify and source new products and materials to enhance the product portfolio and meet market demand.
- Drive the development of new products from concept to market launch, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution.
- Oversee the order process from confirmation through shipment, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Coordinate the sampling process to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Assist in managing order allocation according to business strategy.
- Participate in managing quotations, conducting price analysis, and negotiating prices with suppliers.
- Assist with factory evaluation and ongoing improvement initiatives for apparel.
The Talent:
- Min 4 years of relevant experience in merchandising/buying in FMCG industry.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
