Lab Technologist (BSc / Dipl) – Innovation
Work Scope Overview
The candidate will work on exploring different chemistry approaches to conjugate different fluorescent molecules on desired target proteins. The scope of work also includes optimization of reagents to assist in sample processing and improving signal-to-noise ratio of diagnostic assays.
Responsibilities
- To work closely with the Lead Scientist in exploring different chemistry approaches to achieve high conjugation yield and ratio
- Performing protein works e.g. expression, purification, quality control (SDS-PAGE, Western blot, etc.) to assess the protein and the fluorescent-conjugated protein quality
- Performing protein functional analysis
- To work closely with the Lead Scientist to optimize diagnostic assay workflow
- Keep good traceable records of all experiment and data
- Data analysis and reporting to supervisor
Requirements
- B.Sc. or Diploma in biology, molecular biology, bioengineering, chemical engineering, or relevance field.
- Candidates should have knowledge and experience in the following areas
- Experience working in BSL2 lab
- Molecular techniques (PCR, cloning, etc.)
- Bacterial and mammalian protein expression systems and recombinant protein purification
- Protein analysis e.g. SDS-PAGE, SPR, BLI, and related trouble shooting skills
- Assay development
- Keep good traceable records.
- Familiar with ISO13485 documentation systems is a plus.
- Up for new challenges and keen to work in a ‘fast-moving-pace’ of a biotech start-up.
