Database Management:
· Oversee the organization's data systems and databases.
· Design, implement, and manage databases.
· Ensure the performance, security, and availability of databases.
· Conduct regular database backups and recovery.
· Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required.
Data Integrity and Security:
· Maintain data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection Act.
· Implement data security measures and control access permissions and privileges.
· Develop, manage, and test back-up and recovery plans.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
· Extract and analyze data to support business operations and decision-making.
· Create and maintain reports, dashboards, andvisualizations.
· Collaborate with business units to understand data requirements and provide solutions.
Data Quality Management:
· Identify areas for data quality improvements and help resolve data quality problems.
· Develop and enforce database standards and guidelines to ensure data consistency.
· Conduct data audits and validation checks.
Technical Support:
· Provide technical support to end-users and resolve database-related issues.
· Collaborate with IT staff and software developers to ensure database solutions meet business requirements.
Project Management:
· Plan, design, and coordinate the development and implementation of database projects.
· Ensure projects are completed within scope, time, and budget.
Qualifications:
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
· Proven experience as a Data Administrator, Database Administrator, or in a similar role.
· Experience with database management software (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
· Experience in data analysis and reporting.
Skills:
· Proficiency in database languages such as SQL.
· Strong technical skills, including proficiency in database management and data analysis tools
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiplepriorities.
· Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Certifications (preferred):
· Certified Database Administrator (CDBA) or equivalent certification.
· Certification in data analysis or related fields.
· Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
