As a Account Assistant you are to provide support to the Singapore Finance Lead in particular the timely preparation, accuracy, and reporting of the Singapore entities plus any related schedule. You will be instrumental in streamlining Finance processes and be empowered to make process improvements that would avoid costs to the business.
From time to time, you will be engaging with key stakeholders such as executive management, external and internal auditors, and other senior management.
- Preparation of monthly reconciliations, completed on time, to a high-quality standard
- identify and monitor invoicing to assist with cost control, ensuring avoidance of any unnecessary cost to the business. i.e. interest charges, late fees
- Assist in preparing payments to vendors, ensuring payment are made in a timely manner and in accordance with relevant AB Group SOX controls.
- Review invoices against quotes and appropriate approvals, ensuring coding is appropriate.
- Instrumental in identifying risks and opportunities to the business whilst driving internal controls.
- Analyse Petrol revenue margins, ensuring cost completeness
- Analyse Chauffeur drive revenue margins, ensuring cost completeness
- Analyse and verify variable rental charges issued by airports.
- Assist in analysing Marketing costs, liaising with vendors where required.
- Liaise with the Singapore operations team to improve the value, procedures, reliability, and quality of information received by finance.
- Monitor and ensure data integrity of the Sage CRM, providing support and training to Operations as required
- Assisting with the external and internal audits, and all other statutory obligations, ensuring these are completed timely and successfully.
- Preparation of necessary documents to purchase new vehicle, insurance, payment or apply new financing, and verify all the relevant documents
- Calculate Profit & Loss for disposal vehicle and liaise with banker (UOB, SMFL and OCBC) for financing vehicles, verify the bank documentation and Interest Rebate before redeeming from banker.
- Deregister or transfer vehicle ownership from Land Transport Authority after receiving payment and verify all the signed documents.
- Maintaining appropriate user access to banking, accounting, and other portals
- Uphold internal SOX controls on payables, staff attendance and leave, fleet, and external reporting.
- Maintain telephone/internet contracts for eligible employees and monitor costs
- Liaise with the Pacific and European teams for systems, process and reporting consistency.
- Assist and support in knowledge sharing, projects and general duties as required.
- Other duties as required by the Finance and Accounting Manager, Pacific or other members of the management team.

- Internal interaction with the following stakeholders: Finance, Sales, Operations and Fleet.
- External Parties: External Auditors, Banking relationships, CRM, Whyze systems (Time and Attendance), Insurers, Vendors and Customers.
