Job Description:
We are looking for a talented Drama Instructor who is passionate about teaching drama and theatre to secondary school students. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in drama instruction, directing plays, and developing theatre programmes.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct drama classes for secondary school students.
- Develop and implement drama curriculum and lesson plans.
- Teach students about acting techniques, script analysis, and stage presence.
- Provide guidance on various theatre genres and performance styles.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Prepare students for school plays and theatre competitions.
- Maintain punctuality and professionalism in all classes and theatre events.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to enhance the drama programme.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in drama instruction and theatre direction (minimum of 2 years preferred but not mandatory).
- Proficiency in acting techniques, script analysis, and stage presence.
- Strong ability to work with and inspire secondary school students.
- Experience in preparing students for school plays and theatre competitions is a plus.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Ability to work with a diverse group of students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Summary of role requirements:
