Job Scope:
- To provide dedicated support to students-at-risk and assist them to attend school regularly and find joy in learning;
- Work with students-in-need and at high risk in a more casual and less threatening environment to enhance motivation and build their mental resilience and social-emotional competencies to come to school on a regular basis;
- Group or individual sessions to build rapport with students to provide greater support in meeting their emotional/mental well-being needs.
- Support and engage students (in groups or individually) in after school engagement programmes (eg: monitoring student usage at the school library for self-study sessions) organised by school’s Educational Support and Student Management committee.
Requirements:
- Possessing skills related to rapport building, effective interpersonal interactions, problem-solving and programme planning and implementation
- Preferably with experience working and interacting with teenagers (13-17 years of age) particularly students-at-risk
- Preferably with experience working in a similar capacity secondary school environment.
- Preferably with Certificate in Social Services, Youth Work or related qualification / experience.
- Preferably registered with Ministry of Education
- Be competent to handle the tasks and responsibilities assigned and working with staff from the school’s Educational Support and Student Management Committees
- Follow school’s Standard Operating Procedures with regard to interaction and consultation with students and share feedback to relevant school personnel on students’ needs.
- Respect that all students’ information are the property of the school and that such information will be shared only with authorized school personnel.

Working Arrangement:
· Four days a week on Monday to Thursday (11.30am – 5.30pm) exclusive of lunch break
· Approximately 6 hours per day = 24 hours per week *
