Established in 2007, our group is a homegrown company with different concepts of Italian dining. Our goal is to give our customer a home/warm feeling whenever they dine at our outlets. We operate an Italian restaurant, 3 Pizzeria, 1 Gelato shop and 1 central kitche.

Sous Chef
- Salary Range; commensurate based on experience:
From $3,800 to $4,200 per month - Working Time: 5 x Split Shift (10am to 3pm - 5pm to 10pm)
- Off Days: 2 x Week
Job Responsibilities:
Covers the duties of chef in his or her absence
- Manage all activities in the kitchen, including food preparation and production, and training of kitchen staff
- Employs food safety best practices and makes sure that all kitchen staff members do the same. Ensure compliance with applicable health codes and regulations
- Produce high quality food and ensure that this is also practiced amongst all the team members
- Check the taste, temperature and visual appeal of food items prepared to ensure that the quality and portion are consistent and as per specifications set out
- Establish maintenance and cleaning schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas
- Prevent the use of contaminated products in any phase of food preparation and prevent staff who are ill or suffering from an infection from taking part in the preparation or handling of food
- Manage food costing and inventory. Maintain standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance.
- Responsible for tracking kitchen staff attendance.
- Works quickly and accurately during busy periods – be able to work under pressure,
- Training in Culinary Arts, Experience, Works Quickly, Creative Flair, Strong Communication, Organisational Skills, Team Mentality, Leadership Skills
Job Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in similar role
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership and organisational skills
• Able to cope in a fast-paced environment
• Enjoys being challenged, committed to serving food of the highest quality.
• Have good initiative, a self-starter and a team player.
