Manages the function and staff encompassing information technology infrastructure needs across the enterprise including local area networks (LAN), wireless networks (WLAN), wide area networks (WAN), firewalls, servers, network load balancers (NLB), application delivery controllers (ADC), voice/communication systems (PBX/UC), network/server monitoring tools (NMS/SNMP/WMI), storage, and data backup/recovery.
Responsibilities
- Coaches, mentor existing team members and ensuring that the staff provides excellent end user support.
- Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organization.
- Project management for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades and migrations locally and regionally.
- Work closely with regional offices in providing IT support functions. This includes and not limited to setup of user account, PC setup and configuration, troubleshooting of hardware issue and escalation of issue to appropriate party till eventual resolution.
- Provides technical expertise (tactical and operations initiatives) to the regional offices.
- Lead and provide operational support for all data centres, server rooms, servers (both on-premise and Cloud) and network equipment across the organisation, including IT Asset management.
- Sets, monitors, provides and reinforces overall team performance feedback, including performance improvement and recommendations with respect to rewards, reassignment and if needed, corrective action.
- Assist the relevant teams in the fulfillment of Business Continuity Planning (BCP), Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) and Cyber Security Incident Response Plan.
- Provide technical support and administration for Windows and non-windows Servers, desktop computers, notebook computers, printers and peripheral devices.
- Drives infrastructure planning, engineering, deployment, maintenance and customer support.
- Ensures systems performance and service-level requirements are met.
- Manages IT resource requirements to ensure appropriate balance between tactical and strategic demands.
- Implements IT continuous improvement programs within enterprise guidelines.
Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Information Technology.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in similar capacity for a medium/large organization or in outsourced IT company.
- Proficient in Microsoft Active Directory topology and in-depth working knowledge of Microsoft network environment with working experience.
- Good knowledge in firewall and router configuration.
