The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) plays a pivotal role in our Quality Department, reporting directly to the Site Senior Quality Manager at Benoi, Singapore location. This position plays a key role in ensuring that our suppliers meet PALL Filtration’s quality standards. You will work closely with suppliers, cross-functional teams, and internal stakeholders to drive quality improvements and resolve issues.
In this role, you will have the opportunity/responsibility to:
- Develop and implement supplier quality strategies and processes and ensure compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and customer requirements.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to evaluate quality systems and performance.
- Oversee and manage incoming parts and chemical quality management to ensure adherence to quality standards. Implement and manage line containment strategies to address quality issues effectively.
- Lead and oversee the SCAR process to resolve supplier-related quality problems and drive corrective actions and monitor supplier performance metrics and manage quality improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate communication between suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely resolution of quality concerns and present quality reports and metrics to management.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in supplier quality management or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
- Proven experience in conducting supplier audits and implementing corrective actions
- Background in molding processes, including knowledge of molding techniques and quality control measures.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Previous exposure to the Manufacturing sector.
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
