Job Role Description
The Senior Business Development Manager to be responsible to Identify and purse new business opportunities, develop and nurture client relationships, and contribute to the overall growth and success of the business. Paying a key role in expanding our market reach, driving sales, and representing our brand to customer and partner in the wine industry.
This job responsibilities shall include but not be limited to:
Identifying and Pursuing New Business Opportunities
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Monitoring and analyzing market trends and customer preferences to identify opportunities for innovation and business growth.
- Involves in strategic selection, development, and management of the wines and related products offered to customers.
Strategic Partnership & Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with keys stakeholders in the wine industry such as wine producers, distributors, retailers, and hospitality establishments which involves networking, attending events, and establishing partnerships to promote business growth.
- Providing exceptional customer service and support to clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining long-term relationships by being responsive, understanding client needs, updating new wine products, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Brand Development
- Establish a strong presence in the market, create brand loyalty among customers.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, operations, logistic, procurement and finance team to ensure stock adequacy, smooth execution of business development initiatives.
Negotiate and Deal Closing
- Conducting negotiations and closing deals with potential clients, distributors, and partners by presenting proposals, discussing pricing, terms, and conditions, and finalizing agreements to establish fruitful business relationships.
Reporting and Analysis
- Developing and implementing strategic plans to expand market reach and increase sales.
- Managing the business development budget, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost effectiveness in all initiatives.
- Reporting on sales performance, market trends and business development activities to head of on-trade which includes preparing sales reports, forecasting future trends, and providing recommendations for business growth and improvement.
Skills, Qualifications & Requirements:
- At Least 5 year(s) of working experience in related field is required for this position.
- Minimum diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Wine industry knowledge and relevant certification such WSET will be added.
- Well organized and good team player with effective communication, negotiation skills and possess initiative & positive working attitude.
