Business Function

Group Finance aims to deliver world-class standards in reporting, financial planning and finance processes. We provide insights and analyses that help the bank make sound business decisions – whether in the areas of product development or customer profitability. We also provide capital management, business planning, forecasting, and tax and accounting advisory services.

The bank is also a certified Accredited Training Organisation (“ATO”) for the Singapore Qualification Programme by the Singapore Accountancy Commission and an Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (“ACCA”) Approved Employer.

The Group Product & Valuation Control and Global Financial Markets Business Finance (“GPC”) is a department within Group Finance, which provides valuation and product control support for products accounted for at fair value. The department also supports the business by providing business analytics, accounting advisory and partners the business in decision support process across all locations.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will support the team in the following areas:

• Monitor, analyse and present operating metrics for risk hotspots of the department across business units, desks and locations
• Collaborate closely with diverse set of stakeholders to drive desirable outcomes to remediate control issues and mitigate financial reporting risks
• Support planning and execution of risk and control self-assessment (“RCSA”)
• Facilitate both internal and cross-functional governance forums
• Liaise with internal and external auditors
• Drive compliance with Group policies and procedures for financial reporting
• Report operational risk events including identifying issues, action plans and monitoring of action plans to completion
• Drive culture of strong risk and control mindset

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent with at least 5 years of work experience in a similar function such as business or risk management support is preferred
• Good understanding of internal controls
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment across a diverse range of assignments
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal
• Ability to synthesize data coherently with strong presentation skills
• Quick learner, with positive attitude towards initiating and enabling change
• Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels and cultivate positive working relationships across functions
