POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a proactive & reliable Operations Assistant to join our Operations team at International Refreshment Singapore (IRS). In this role, you will play a pivotal role in generating maximum output of quality product through effective use of assigned resources and assets in order to meet target production schedule (conformance to production adherence). This position responsible on the proper execution of the daily work activities that drive quality, efficiency, safety, service and cost performance in a manufacturing plant. You will also actively participate in implementing Operational Excellence tools and Kaizen methodologies to enhance rapid, ongoing, measurable improvements in operations that serve the Suntory Monozukuri Values.
Job Responsibilities
Operations:
- Coordinate with planners to plan and execute daily production schedules.
- Collaborate with the Warehouse on raw material concerns affecting operations.
- Achieve line/batch efficiency and output targets.
- Monitor consumable material availability and record starting inventory.
- Perform weighing, measuring, data entry, and in-process checks.
- Record quality metrics during production (label clarity, date coding, etc.).
- Execute start-up/shut-down operations according to SOP.
- Conduct line monitoring tests and prepare purchase requisitions.
Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Health:
- Complete necessary documentation for GDP and GMP compliance.
- Collaborate with the Quality Team to maintain product quality standards.
- Address root causes and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Ensure a safe workplace environment.
Maintenance:
- Collaborate on equipment-related procurement and contract renewal.
- Perform shift maintenance to optimize process equipment operation.
- Prepare End of Shift reports and review maintenance records.
- Conduct root cause analysis and generate work orders in SAP.
Skills and Experience
- Diploma or NITEC in food science/technology or engineering faculty.
- Minimum 1 year experience in food and beverage or pharmaceutical multinational organizations.
- Nature of this role is 5.5-day work week and you should be comfortable with shift work arrangements.
- Previous experience working in manufacturing environment with knowledge in batching and blending processes.
- Operational knowledge of production machinery, processes and ability to operate manufacturing equipment.
- Able to lift up to 25kg independently
- Good understanding of beverage production facilities, manufacturing process, operation KPI, safety and quality (plant hygiene, HACCP, Halal) in Beverages, FMCG or Pharmaceutical industries.
- Demonstrated ability to trouble-shoot production related problems and recognize material and product defects.
- SAP knowledge advantageous, esp. module of Manufacturing Operations (PP/PM).
- Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
