- Collaborate with engineers, architects and sub-contractors to determine the specifications of the project.
- Analyse construction drawings especially Architectural details.
- Determine job requirements including equipment, materials, and manpower.
- Conduct risk evaluation.
- Negotiate with external vendors on contract agreements.
- Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
- Oversee construction projects. Ensure all schedules and deadlines are met.
- Ensure supplies and equipment are ordered and delivered according to schedule.
- Attend site meetings and resolve site problems.
- Maintain safety standards on construction sites. Comply with all relevant regulations and codes.
- Hire contractors and other staff. Manage resources and allocate responsibilities according to work schedule and demands.
- Train, supervise and mentor construction team members on site.
- Prepare management and site reports.
