Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the incumbent shall work closely with Board members and key stakeholders to lead:
- Strategic Partnership Development - provides the strategic direction for partnership development, identifying potential partners, negotiating agreements, and ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- Fundraising – develops fundraising strategies to raise funds on a sustainable basis.
- Branding - oversees communication strategies and branding efforts, ensuring a consistent brand image and messaging across all communication channels.
- Volunteer Management - leads the volunteer engagement strategies and ensures that volunteers are effectively integrated into organisation/division activities and initiatives.
- Communication - Set the communication strategy and ensuring that messaging related to partnerships, fundraising, and volunteer management is effectively communicated to stakeholders and the community.
- Data Protection – oversees data protection in APSN as the Data Protection Officer
Partnership Management:
- Lead the Identification, cultivation and management of strategic partnerships with external stakeholders to align with APSN's objectives and leveraging those partnerships to advance the organisation's mission.
- Reach out to new potential partners to have strategic and meaningful collaborations in areas of donations, volunteerism, advocacy and employment opportunities for APSN’s beneficiaries.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of partnership initiatives and community engagement initiatives, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
- Develop ongoing, strong relationships with Partners to support their connection with the organisation’s vision, mission and strategic objectives.
- Collaborate closely with schools and centres and stakeholders to align partnership efforts
- Manage partners’ database and maintain regular communication with them via correspondence or networking sessions.
Fundraising:
- Develop and manage a portfolio of prospective corporate and donors to contribute towards the long-term financial sustainability of APSN.
- Develop and execute fundraising strategies.
- Cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors and prospects to support the organisation’s mission and programmes.
- Plan and oversee fundraising events and campaigns.
- Monitor and report on fundraising performance and progress towards goals.
Communications:
- Develop and implement communication strategies to manage branding efforts , media relations and engagement initiatives of the organisation.
- Deploy effective communication to raise awareness about APSN's mission, programmes, and impact, ensuring that all staff and stakeholders are aligned and informed, as well as external communication to engage donors, volunteers, and the broader community
- Manage the corporate branding across digital, online and offline platforms, ensuring that they are aligned with the strategic direction of APSN.
- Develop and create content for internal and external audiences, including the Annual Report and Newsletters.
- Drive internal communications and strategic employee engagement.
Volunteers Management:
- Develop and implement engagement strategies to recruit volunteers with the right skills and ensure retention and satisfaction.
- Drive the volunteer management programme to train, deploy, support, retain and appreciate volunteers.
- Manage volunteer recruitment strategies to ensure that volunteers are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to contribute effectively.
- Communicate volunteer opportunities and initiatives to partners and the community, promoting volunteerism and engagement.
The Person
- Recognised Degree in Business, Communications or equivalent with proven experience in fundraising, donor relations and related roles.
- 12 years’ relevant working experience with at least 8 years’ leading a team, preferably in a social service organisation.
- Proven experience in community engagement, partnership development, and leadership roles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to provide guidance to the team in fostering partnerships and building sustainable relationships
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective engagement strategies.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of inspiring and motivating teams to achieve goals.
- Candidate with extensive years of experience at Director’s level may be considered for Director role.
