Head of Business Development

Job Summary:

The Head of Business Development will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in e-commerce, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of successful business development in the Asian market.


Key Responsibilities:


-Strategic Planning and Growth: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the company's objectives. Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, including potential partnerships, mergers, and acquisitions

-Partnerships and Alliances: Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, distributors, and technology providers. Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring favorable terms and long-term collaboration.

-Market Expansion: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Develop strategies to enter new markets and expand the company’s footprint across Asia.

-Revenue Generation:Drive revenue growth by developing and executing initiatives to increase sales and market share. Monitor and analyze business performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize results.

-Leadership and Team Management: Lead and mentor the business development team, fostering a high-performance culture. Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and support professional development.

-Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, product, and operations teams to align business development efforts with overall company strategy. Ensure seamless integration of new business initiatives into existing operations.

Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners. Address customer feedback and ensure high levels of satisfaction.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
  • Ability in Korean language will have an added advantage to communicate with headquarters based in South Korea, knowledge in Vietnam's business landscape will also be advantageous
  • Extensive experience in the e-commerce industry, particularly within the Asian market.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and achieving revenue targets.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in one or more Asian languages is a plus.
